Meliá de Mar

The renovation of this iconic hotel, whose original project was by Jose Antonio Coderch, was done in two phases.

The first phase, which comprised the refurbishment and remodeling of all the rooms, took place during the season when the hotel is closed to the public. The second phase consisted of the renovation of the common areas: entrance lobby and reception, library, internet corner, restaurant, spa…

The main design intent, which was kept throughout the project, was to enhance the original structure and shape of the building that generate the different spaces. The choice of the materiality and textures always took this premise into account.
