Office & Co-working redesign Barcelona 2021

Mur Arquitectura has been invited to participate in the 8th edition of the debate on trends in office and workspace design. On this occasion, the event organized by Grupo Vía took place at the Talent Garden in Barcelona.

Our colleague Marta Mur opened with a short introduction discussing the concept of ‘office space’ and how the global pandemic has been a catalyst for trends in the design of these spaces. The exceptional situation in which we find ourselves has accelerated changes in the way of working and organizing the space that we could already sense in our most recent office projects and works.

All these new elements that define the office concept (it is no longer just a physical space in which a single activity is carried out throughout the day) seek fundamentally a balance between life and work. Create flexible spaces to adapt to different needs, multiplying efforts to generate places dedicated to the comfort and well-being of employees, and with a clear and inevitable trend towards sustainable construction and the creation of healthy spaces (healthy buildings).

Marta presented the Moventia project in Sant Cugat del Vallès and the new Fanuc Iberia headquarters, a scheme that we are currently working on. With them, she exemplified the changes and trends that she exposed during her presentation.
