The project of the Hotel Meliá Sarrià refurbishment consisted of the renovation of all the common floors and spaces of the building. The Reception and its back office, the Entrance Lobby, an Internet corner, the Restaurant and a Conventions’ hall at Ground Level. The use of the Basement level was changed to develop the rest of the MICE rooms of the Convention Centre.
The materiality, the choice of lights and the strict geometry of all the spaces, gave the character to the proposal. We worked playing with contrasts: shiny and mat finishes, light and dark tones, flat and texturized materials… and we combined it with the control of each elements’ reflection.
