Les Corts Market

This Public Market in the neighborhood of Les Corts, whose original construction dates back to 1962, required a comprehensive makeover and modernization of all facilities and finishes, as well as the rationalization of its commercial offer and the implementation of a small supermarket.

The fresh and colorful design of the new façades responded to the need of enhancing the human scale of the building and making the immediate urban surroundings more accessible to pedestrians, with new possibilities to approach the public center.

Aside from a new accessible and adapted main entrance to the Market, the outer skin of the building increased the area of glass favoring the dialogue between the inside and the outdoor public spaces.
